The BCATC has a reputation of excellence around the state, and is a centerpiece of our efforts to market the county to prospective businesses. A leader in career and technical education, the BCATC recently completed a multi-million dollar renovation and expansion. This investment created larger machining classrooms, double the number of welding booths, and allowed for the addition of a brand new Industrial Maintenance program.

Breckinridge County Area Technology Center - Welding

For over 50 years, the Breckinridge County Area Technology Center has excelled in its commitment to career and technical education. Beginning in the fall of 2021, the BCATC will be holding classes for adult members of the community as well through a partnership with Elizabethtown Community and Technical College's Workforce Solutions Program.

The Workforce Solutions Department at ECTC is instrumental in helping industries with training new employees, assisting in employee recruitment, and offering continuing education opportunities.  ECTC and its instructors work with our business partners to strengthen the workforce and expand the life skills, knowledge, and cultural enrichment of the communities we serve.

The classes offered at the Breckinridge County Area Technology Center through Elizabethtown Community and Technical College's Workforce Solutions Program currently include welding and various soft skills courses.
