CREATING A BUSINESS PLAN

If you are thinking about starting a business, we strongly recommend making a business plan! Research suggests that good planning can double the chances of your business succeeding and substantially increase the rate of growth. The Hardinsburg Planning and Zoning Commission meets the 4th Wednesday of each month at 5:30PM at City Hall.
Planning and Zoning Commissioner Glenn Jackson holds office hours on Monday and Thursday mornings.

COUNTY BUSINESS LICENSES

Breckinridge County does not issue business licenses, but it does require a special license for the following types of business or products:

  • ice cream
  • soft drinks
  • restaurants
  • tobacco products
  • pool tables
  • movie theaters

ALCOHOL LICENSES

Breckinridge County and all three cities have licenses and fees associated with the sale of alcoholic beverages. Please contact ABC Coordinator Andrew Adkins at (270) 580-4780 or the respective city hall to learn more.
